Only One Trim, All In: The 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali

The 2025 GMC Sierra EV sticks with a single trim: the high-end Denali. Other versions, such as the off-road-focused AT4 and the mid-range Elevation, are on their way, but they won't hit the market until 2026. Here's what to expect from the Denali.

Range and Charging

With just one trim on offer, your first real decision is range. You can go with the Extended Range battery, which is good for an estimated 390 miles, or step up to the available Max Range, which returns 460 miles of range per charge. Fast charging is standard on both versions, with support for up to 350 kW. Find a plug that powerful, and you can add around 100 miles of range in ten minutes.

Performance

The Sierra EV Denali has front and rear electric motors, so it's all-wheel drive right out of the gate. The Max Range variant puts down 760 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque when switched to Max Power Mode. That's enough to launch it from zero to sixty mph in just 4.5 seconds. Even in normal mode, you've still got up to 400 horsepower on tap, which is more than enough for daily duty.

The vehicle also comes with air ride adaptive suspension that can raise or lower the truck by about two inches, four-wheel steering for low-speed agility, and a handful of drive modes that change how it feels on the road. There's also a regenerative braking system with a one-pedal driving feature, so lifting off the accelerator slows the truck almost like you're hitting the brakes.

Trucking Capability

GMC estimates that the 2025 Sierra EV can provide a maximum towing capacity of 10,000 pounds. To help you do it easily and safely, it comes with the ProGrade Trailering System. That means you get an integrated trailer brake controller, a hitch-view camera, and tire pressure sensors for your trailer. Out back, there's the ever-handy MultiPro Midgate, which lets you extend your 6-foot bed to nearly 11 feet long.

Everyday Livability

As a fully loaded model, the Denali is expectedly generous with amenities. Its front and back seats outstretch even a Mercedes-Benz S-Class in legroom, shoulder room, and headroom. Leather covers just about everything, and the front seats are not only comfy, but also dressed up with detailed embroidery and quilted patterns.

You'll also find a head-up display, a panoramic roof, a 16.8-inch display, a Bose sound system, and GM's industry-leading Super Cruise hands-free driving system. The latter is a huge help since it works even when you're towing a trailer.

2027 GMC Sierra 1500: What's Next for GMC's Popular Full-Size Pickup?

GMC is hinting at some serious upgrades when it comes to the 2 027 GMC Sierra 1500. The Sierra has built a strong reputation as a capable, well-equipped full-size pickup, and each model year tends to raise the bar a little higher —but 2027 promises more. More advanced, more luxurious, more powerful. Whether you're a longtime Sierra fan or need the newest and best pickup for your jobs and adventures around Florence, South Carolina, h ere's a look at what could be on the horizon for one of GMC's most popular vehicles. A Promising Redesign Is Coming GMC has described the next-generation 2027 Sierra 1500 as bringing “multiple firsts” for the truck’s interior, with a full rede sign focused on luxury. Details have yet to emerge, but what we do know is that the first-ever MultiPro ® Center Console will be available. This carries the versatility of the 6-function MultiPro ® Tailgate into the cabin for the first time in the 2027 Sierra 1500. We expect it to offer a fold-out interior work surface —made possible by a column-mounted shifter— dual wireless charging pads, and multiple configurations. The current 2026 model year brings a vast trim lineup that lets you nearly build the interior to your liking. The introductory Pro trim is work-ready with durable materials, and starts strong with Best-in-Class front head and legroom. It ranges all the way up through mid-level trims with multiple options and approachable interiors to the off-road-ready AT4 trims, and the lavish Denali trims with up to 16-way power front seats with heating, ventilation, and massage in full-grain leather. The 2027 lineup has a tall order to fill. Bigger, Better Technology One area where the Sierra has made clear strides is in-cab technology —and wow, does 2027 blow it all away. Over 60” of combined displays are available—the most in its class. That includes a 16.3” center touchscreen with hidden storage, a Largest-in-Class 11.5” passenger touchscreen, and a 12.2” Driver Information Center. We expect improved connectivity, Google Built-in, and the availability of Super Cruise® hands-free driving tech with Trailering. Trailering capability with hands-free driving isn’t offered by any competitor, and we expect the Sierra to make more strides in exclusivity for 2027. Truck buyers today want practical tech — think trailer camera systems, wireless device charging, and robust navigation tools. GMC has been responsive to those needs, and the Sierra's technology suite has grown steadily more capable as a result. More Powerful, More Performance The Sierra 1500 offers a n impressive array of powertrains, including the 2.7L TurboMax ™ with Best-in-Class torque and the 3.0L Duramax® Turbo-Diesel engine —another element that no competitor touches. This year, its 5.3L and 6.2L V8 engines have been upgraded. Now 5.7L and 6.6L V8 options replace them, with the latter being the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in its class. We simply cannot wait for the specs. This will have an effect on towing numbers, though we can’t know what that is yet. What we do know is that the AT4X off-road trim sees some changes this year. It gains Multimatic® Jounce Control Dampers, new 35” MT tires, and certainly we can expect special editions this year once again. What to Expect at King Buick GMC While specific details about the 2027 model are still emerging, the Sierra's track record gives buyers plenty of reason for confidence. GMC has built consistent momentum with this truck, amplifying the formula with each generation rather than reinventing it. Top 5 Routine Services Every Driver Should Stay On Top Of

Routine maintenance is the difference between a vehicle that simply runs and one that continues to perform with confidence year after year. Modern GMC vehicles are engineered with precision, but even the most advanced systems depend on consistent service to maintain efficiency, safety, and longevity. At King Buick GMC in Florence, our service team works with drivers every day to prevent costly repairs before they begin—using manufacturer-approved procedures, certified technicians, and a service schedule designed to protect your investment. Below are the five most important routine services GMC owners should stay current on, when to schedule them by mileage, and how King Buick GMC supports drivers at every milestone. 1. Oil Change & Filter Replacement (Every 5,000–7,500 Miles) Oil is the engine’s first line of defense. Over time, oil breaks down due to heat, friction, and contaminants, losing its ability to lubricate and cool critical components. Skipping oil changes accelerates engine wear, reduces fuel efficiency, and increases the risk of internal damage. At King Buick GMC, oil change service includes replacing the oil with manufacturer-recommended formulations and installing high-quality filters designed specifically for GMC engines. Our technicians also perform a quick under-hood inspection during every oil change, checking fluid levels, belts, hoses, and warning indicators. This service alone can extend engine life significantly when performed on schedule. Recommended intervals vary depending on engine type and driving habits, but most GMC models benefit from service every 5,000 to 7,500 miles. 2. Tire Rotation & Inspection (Every 7,500 Miles) Uneven tire wear is one of the most common—and most preventable—issues drivers face. Front and rear tires experience different forces during braking, turning, and acceleration. Without rotation, tires wear inconsistently, shortening their lifespan and affecting ride quality. Routine tire rotation at King Buick GMC helps maintain even tread depth, improves traction, and supports balanced handling. Each rotation includes a full tire inspection, air pressure check, and tread assessment. Catching wear patterns early can prevent alignment issues and help avoid premature tire replacement. Most GMC vehicles benefit from tire rotation every 7,500 miles or during every other oil change. 3. Brake Inspection & Service (Every 15,000–30,000 Miles) Brakes don’t fail all at once—they degrade gradually. Pads wear down, rotors develop grooves, and brake fluid absorbs moisture over time. Ignoring early warning signs often leads to more expensive repairs and compromised stopping power. At King Buick GMC, brake inspections are performed by technicians trained to recognize GMC-specific wear patterns. Inspections include brake pad thickness measurement, rotor condition checks, caliper operation, and brake fluid evaluation. When service is required, we use components designed to meet GMC performance standards, ensuring consistent braking response and safety. Brake inspections are recommended every 15,000 miles, with pad replacement commonly needed between 30,000 and 60,000 miles depending on driving habits. 4. Battery Testing & Replacement (Every 3–5 Years) A weak battery doesn’t always fail without warning. Electrical slowdowns, intermittent warning lights, and delayed starts often signal declining battery health. Extreme heat, common in South Carolina summers, accelerates battery degradation. King Buick GMC provides battery testing during routine visits to measure charge capacity, cold-cranking performance, and overall electrical health. If replacement is necessary, we install batteries engineered to match your vehicle’s electrical load and technology demands. Most vehicle batteries last between three and five years. Proactive testing helps prevent unexpected no-start situations. 5. Multi-Point Inspection & Fluid Services (Every 30,000–60,000 Miles) As mileage increases, components beyond oil and tires require attention. Transmission fluid, coolant, brake fluid, and differential fluid all degrade over time. Filters clog. Belts and hoses age. Suspension components experience stress. A comprehensive multi-point inspection at King Buick GMC evaluates these systems together, allowing technicians to identify wear trends before they turn into failures. Fluid exchanges help regulate temperatures, protect internal components, and preserve shifting performance. This service is especially valuable around major mileage milestones such as 30,000, 60,000, and 90,000 miles.
